Use this calculator to calculate the volumetric or dimensional weight of a package for shipping. The volumetric weight is the calculation that a shipping company or freight forwarder will use to calculate the cost of delivery. Normally the true weight and the dimensional weight is taken and which ever weight is heavier is the one used to work out the shipping fee.
{loadposition position-123}
Calculations are:
length*width*height/5000 for cm/kg metric
length*width*height/139 for inch/lb imperial
Note
Some shipping companies may use different calculations, and they may round up the weight. Volumetric or dimensional weight is compared to the actual weight and the shipping cost is worked out using whichever one is heavier.
